My 050 number maintenance fee deduction notification for customers who acquired a 050 number via our authorized agents

On April 1st, 2024, customers who obtained 050 numbers from our authorized for the IP-phone service agents, will be charged a maintenance fee of 550 yen for the 6 months. The payment will be deducted from your Brastel account balance. If you want to cancel the service, please refer to the information at the end of this message on how to do so. It is important to note that any cancellation requests made after 6:30 pm on March 31st will not be accepted, and your account will be charged the maintenance fee on April 1st.

If there is enough balance in your account on the day the My 050 number maintenance fee is scheduled to be deducted, we will deduct 550 yen, and the next withdrawal date will be set for October 1st, 2024, which is six months later. It's important to note that even if you cancel your 050 number after the 550 yen maintenance fee has been deducted, the fee will not be refunded. If you wish to cancel, please send a request to the email address provided before 6:30 pm on March 31st, 2024. 
If there is no balance in your account on the day the My 050 maintenance fee is scheduled, your account will be partially suspended, meaning that you won't be able to make calls, but you can still receive them. If no payment is made within 7 days, your account will be completely suspended, and you won't be able to make or receive calls. However, the service will be automatically reactivated if you top up your account within six months. If you want to transfer the balance from another account, please contact customer service for assistance.

My 050 number maintenance fee deduction notification for customers who acquired a 050 number before August 31, 2022
On April 1st, 2023, customers who obtained 050 numbers before August 31st, 2022, will be charged a maintenance fee of 550 yen for the 6-month period. You were previously notified about this fee via email and on our website. The payment will be deducted from your Brastel account balance. If you want to cancel the service, please refer to the information at the end of this message on how to do so. It is important to note that any cancellation requests made after 6:30 pm on March 31st will not be accepted, and your account will be charged the maintenance fee on April 1st.

If there is enough balance in your account on the day the My 050 number maintenance fee is scheduled to be deducted, we will deduct 550 yen, and the next withdrawal date will be set for October 1st, 2023, which is six months later. It's important to note that even if you cancel your 050 number after the 550 yen maintenance fee has been deducted, the fee will not be refunded. If you wish to cancel, please send a request to the email address provided before 6:30 pm on March 31st, 2023. If there is no balance in your account on the day the My 050 maintenance fee is scheduled, your account will be partially suspended, meaning that you won't be able to make calls, but you can still receive them. If no payment is made within 7 days, your account will be completely suspended, and you won't be able to make or receive calls. However, the service will be automatically reactivated if you top up your account within six months. If you want to transfer the balance from another account, please contact customer service for assistance.

Now it's possible to recharge your Brastel account using your FamiPay credits at the Family Mart convenience stores.

As recommended by Visa and Mastercard, we have enabled an authentication service called 3D secure in our credit card payment system, in order to protect our customers credit cards against online theft and fraud.

"My Payment" is a mobile payment service that allows you to add credits to your Brastel account using a barcode. The "My Payment" service is also available at Seicomart, Community Store, MiniStop and MMK (4 stores).

An issue has been found in iOS 5.1 that causes the microphone to crash when the headphones are plugged in on some devices. Due to this problem, there will be no outgoing (and probably incoming) audio.

The app development company has already reported the issue to Apple and hopefully they will be able to resolve it soon.

Fortunately, the problem only occurs when using plug in headphones. If the app is used without headphones, the issue will not occur.
If you need to use headphones, please go to the Acrobits Softphone preferences and under sound, turn echo suppression off. This will correct the problem.

Aiming to improve the quality of our VoIP services (FLIP, Brastel Webphone and AGEphone app), we will perform changes in our system, which involves changes in the IP addresses of our servers.

Unfortunately, these changes (which take effect from October 1st 2011) will unable customers living in Leopalace apartments using LEONET Internet service to use our VoIP services.

We have contacted Leopalace regarding the changes but unfortunately the negotiations were unsuccessful.

If you are using a different Internet service, these changes will not affect Brastel services and you will still be able to use it.
